This suburb of Johannesburg is probably one of the most notorious neighborhoods in the country - and this is where we will shooting a number of scenes for our next commercial.
Back in the 1970's Hillbrow was vibrant community close to the center of Johannesburg but in the 80's and 90's urban decay set in and Hillbrow became a highrise slum.
Today Hillbrow is still one of the most dangerous parts of the country but the 70's Architecture has fallen into favour with filmakers. So this leaves us with the challenge of figuring out a way to shoot motion control shots with about 100 extras slap bang in the middle of Hillbrow.
Hopefully I will be able to post again soon with the results of our commercial and of course some comments about shooting with the Milo Motion Control System.
